Chevrolet has added a dramatically designed addition to the fast-developing EV Family. Introducing the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV and Jerry’s Chevrolet of Baltimore is excited to share the details of all Trims and features for all lifestyles.
When looking at this vehicle, you just cannot help how beautifully designed GM has created this vehicle. Its first impression is not a dull one, to say the least. GM’s Ultrium Platform has provided a lower, longer & wider stance for a sporty look on the Blazer EV but with a performance of a Corvette. This vehicle received a lot of inspiration from Chevy’s sports cars and performance. The Blazer EV will be joining the Silverado EV and the Equinox EV for the fast-growing EV family that Jerry’s Chevrolet of Baltimore can’t wait to have on our lot for our customer to make their next vehicle. Providing many trim options and multiple range options as well, there is a fit for all lifestyles with this vehicle. The choices in trim are 1LT, 2LT, RS, and Chevy’s first-ever electric SS performance. Also provides all options of Front-Wheel Drive, Rear-Wheel Drive, and All-Wheel Drive. Personally, one of the coolest features is the LED Exterior Lighting on the RS and SS trims that is choreographed to when you walk up and follows you like a beam of light! Such great features to get into!

GM has estimated the Blazer EV to reach up to 320 miles on a full charge with an 11.5 kW level AC charging and standard DC fast charging capability allowing approximately 80 miles of range within 10 minutes. The ability to get you anywhere you need to go without worry. (All trims varying in range) The first-ever SS performance trim, allows the powerful experience of the AWD to produce up to 557 horsepower and up to 648 lb-ft of torque with the WOW mode (Wide Open Watts) that gets you from 0-60 mph in 4 seconds. Just amazing the performance this EV can provide. The Blazer EV will carry with all advanced standard Chevy Safety Assist of Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and IntelliBeam, Following Distance Indicator, and Front Pedestrian Braking. Adding to the list of the Chevy Safety Assist are the Reverse Automatic Braking and Advanced Park Assist.
Going into the interior features, you can’t miss the feeling of being the pilot of your own vehicle with the 17.7-inch diagonal color touchscreen as the focal point and accompanied by the large 11-inch diagonal color Driver Information Center as the instrument cluster. With a two-row layout, the Blazer EV creates a ton of space and storage for your passengers for both short and longer trips. The RS trim uses blue and red stitching and the SS provides the suede microfiber seating. Also having the option in the SS with the Adrenaline Red and Argon Orange accents. Heated and ventilated front seats are available in the RS and SS trims but you’ll receive heated rear outboard seating positions standard in the SS and available in the RS. Introducing the first true hands-free driver-assistance technology, Super Cruise. Allowing drivers to go hands-free on compatible roads. How helpful to enjoy your ride on any trip. If you have your hands full, the presence-based liftgate will open hands-free as long as you have your key fob within the range of the sensors on the rear of the vehicle.

We here at Jerry’s Chevrolet of Baltimore are looking forward to the Chevrolet Blazer EV 2LT and RS becoming available in the summer of 2023. The SS trim will be available later in 2023. If you are looking to reserve your Chevrolet Blazer EV or are interested in more information you can click here or email us at marketing@jerrysautogroup.com. How to winter prep your car
Winter maintenance is a vital step into protecting you and your family from harm’s way this season.

Winter is just about here, in theory at least. So it is time to talk about winterizing your car to make sure you can commute safely to family and friends for the holidays and do so comfortably.
Firstly, the one we can all get our heads around, tires. You will want to have your tires checked for any punctures or excessive wear, and you will want to make sure you get your tire pressure checked. Colder weather can affect your tire pressure ratings, and you’re going to want to make sure those are still up to manufacturer standards.
Second, check your heating system for any possible issues; trust me, when it is 25 degrees, and you’re driving across state lines to visit relatives for Christmas dinner, you’re going to want that heating system to operate in all of its glory.
Because of the warmth you’ll be needing. Therefore, it is imperative to have your antifreeze and cooling system checked to ensure you won’t have that hard-working engine overheating anytime soon.

We can’t forget to mention the importance of having your battery checked for the impending cold weather to keep your systems operating at total capacity.
If you have a 4WD vehicle, you’re going to want to get your fluids checked to ensure that a more active system in possible slick situations can operate at its most total capacity.
So now you’ll be capable and comfortable navigating through the winter. Now, you have to make sure you’ll see everything in front of you; it’s a good idea for you to get your wipers checked, if not replaced, along with possibly using a winterized washer fluid for your wipers. Those solutions will include some antifreeze components to help melt any freezing conditions.
To provide a quick summary of how to winterize your car:
- Test your battery
- Test your antifreeze/cooling system
- Test your heating system
- Have your tires checked for proper tread / Check tire PSI
- Check your fluids for 4×4 vehicles
- Check your wipers and use a winterized wiper solution
Any of these steps can be handled by booking an appointment today with our service department and enjoying a worry-free winter.
Don’t wait, book now! Click HERE to book your appointment today.

In addition, Chevy has put two massive screens in the front, first with a 13.4-inch diagonal center display, fully capable with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As excited as we are for all of the new upgrades and the release of the ’22 Silverado, it looks like these full-sized beauties will be hitting showrooms sometime in early 2022. Does Your Chevrolet Need New Tires?
“A vehicle is only as useful as the tires it sits on.” I’m sure if automobiles were around in 500 B.C. that would be an ancient Chinese proverb. With the exception of the engine and brakes, few automotive components affect your vehicle’s performance more than your set of tires, which means it’s vital to ensure that they’re kept in good condition and replaced as soon as they’ve become worn. Aside from propelling you forward, tires play a substantial role in your vehicle’s traction and braking. It doesn’t matter if your vehicle has an advanced all-wheel drive system when you’re running on flats – you’re still going to slide in wet road conditions. So without further ado, here are some tips on how to maintain your tires, as well as how to inspect whether or not you’re due for a new set.
- Make sure your tires are consistently inflated to the recommended levels your vehicle requires. You can find your vehicle’s optimal tire pressure either in the owner’s manual or on the white sticker inside your driver’s side door frame. Underinflated tires create more stress on your engine to propel them, and result in poorer fuel economy. Over inflated tires will cause uneven wear on the tread, as well as increase their chance of exploding on contact with a foreign object at highway speeds.
- If possible, avoid damaged roads on your daily commute. If you have an option of which route to take, opt for the newer road with less potholes or loose gravel.
- Get in the habit of having your tires rotated every 6000 to 8000 miles. An easy way to remember this is to just get it done every time you take your vehicle to Jerry’s Toyota for an oil change. The Jerry’s It’s About You Loyalty Program includes tire rotations for LIFE! If you regularly service your vehicle at our Baltimore Toyota certified repair facility, you’ll never have to worry about this step!
- If one of your tires goes flat, be sure to drive on your spare as little as possible. Spare tires aren’t meant to be ridden on long, and will contribute to uneven tread wear on your other tires due to the imbalance they cause.
- Never replace tires one or two at a time if the others are significantly used. This will result in uneven tread and traction between different tires in various stages of their lifespan.
- Don’t do burnouts in the super-market parking lot! Save that for your next airport rental car.
If you do suspect that your tires are beginning to become worn, here are some warning signs to look out for:
- Your vehicle’s ride is harsher than you remember. You feel the bumps in the road more, and there’s more road noise.
- Your vehicle’s handling in inclement weather has noticeable degraded. You feel yourself slipping around turns.
- Your tires have uneven tread, balding edges, or visible wiring.
Maryland state inspections require all tires to measure at least 2/32 of an inch to pass. Besides taking your vehicle to a mechanic or purchasing a tire depth gauge, there’s a really simple trick to tell whether or not you need new tires, and it only costs a penny! Simply locate a spot on your tire where the tread appears to be the shallowest. Insert the penny with Lincoln’s head first into the tread. If you can see the top of Abe’s head, your tread is too shallow and you should seriously consider new tires. Lucky for you, Jerry’s Chevrolet stocks a variety of premium tire brands including Bridgestone, Michelin, and Goodyear. Best of all, we are willing to match the prices of our competitors for identical tires!
